Fire and Water Journal (36 issues, March 1888 to February 1891)

1888-1891.  Issues separately paginated, illustrated with engravings and line drawings.  36 consecutive issues of the monthly journal Fire and Water from March 1888 to February 1891 bound into a single volume.  Quarter bound in dark leather over blue pebbled cloth.  Gilt titles on spine. Speckled edges.  4to.  Boards a little worn, slightly rubbed on coners and scuffed around spine.  Faded and mottled around upper leading corners front and rear. Spine leather is dull and brittle.  Firmly bound. Internally generally neat and clean but some occasional spots and marks on pages.  

Fire and Water was a monthly journal of work accomplished by the Fire Department of Great Britain, also including news and articles of interest (some regarding the history of fire-fighting) to firemen and fire brigades and carrying contemporary advertisements for fire equipment and the like.
