Corners lightly rubbed, bottom front corner moderately bumped. Boards lightly faded along top edge. Text block edges have moderate foxing and tanning. Endpapers significantly tanned. Internally the pages are age toned and lightly tanned, otherwise a neat, clean and tight volume. Illustrated paper dust jacket has moderate sun-fading to spine and edges; mirrors damage to book with some closed tears to the rear of the jacket; not price clipped. For young wives of the 1950's this was written as an easy to read illustrated reference book, offering a comprehensive insight, based on experience, into the various aspects of home life from carving a joint to making curtains.
