First edition, 2nd printing (1st cheap edition). 256pp, with frontispiece and line drawings in text, all by Thomas Henry. In red cloth-covered boards with black titles to spine. 12mo. Boards a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, faded along lower edge and at spine tips. Spine a little sunned. Upper text block edge dust darkened, other edges and endpapers have some mild spotting, front free endpaper has flat corner crease, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original worn and chapped dust jacket, shelf worn, partially cracked on edges and folds, a little faded - more heavily so over spine, with very minor loss at spine ends. A few minor spot marks. Dust jacket now protected in an archival quality Mylar wrapper fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
