116pp. Red cloth-covered boards with deckled fore- and lower text block edges. Colour plate frontispiece and seven further colour plate illustrations. 16mo. Corners and spine ends lightly bumped and rounded, light foxing to the top text block edge. Previous owner's name in pen on the front pastedown endpaper but otherwise internally clean, neat, bright and tight. Story about slavery adapted for children from original by Harriet Beecher Stowe with some illustrations throughout.
