Covers edge worn and a little scuffed around spine, some mild discolouration to text block edge. One plate illustrations has a short, closed tear at top, else internally neat and clean. Firmly bound. A detailed account of the history of Simon Langton schools in Canterbury largely from 1881 onwards, but section on the foundation's earlier origins, dating back to Simon Langton, brother of Steven Langton, the Archbishop of Canterbury who had a hand in the events leading to King John's signing of Magna Carta in 1215.
