Presentation plate on front pastedown endpaper from Bembridge School, making this a loose association copy as J Howard Whitehouse, social reformer and Liberal MP, was the founder and warden of Bembridge School. Prize plate reads "Bembridge School, This book was presented to G Hammond with his prize, in memory of the Warden, ? Randall, Headmaster. Thy Youth and Cause was given in Bembridge School Chapel on 18 March 1934, and subsequently published by request.
