Not dated but circa 1870. 8pp. Song by Weatherly, music by Pinsuti. Gentle edge wear and toning. Spine reinforced with linen tape. A popular song, with music, from the mid-Victorian era. Frederick Edward Weatherly, 1848 - 1929, was an English lawyer, author, lyricist and broadcaster. Christened and brought up using the name Frederick, he adopted the spelling 'Frederic' later. He is estimated to have written the lyrics to at least 3,000 popular songs, among the best-known of which are the sentimental ballad 'Danny Boy', the religious 'The Holy City', and the wartime song, 'Roses of Picardy'. Slim folio. [Location: Purple]
