The story of the lives of two very different men who came together in of the greatest frauds in this history of book collecting. Forman was a postal worker who in his spare time was a serious scholar who edited the works of Keats and Shelley. Wise was a commodities dealer and an influential book collector, President of the Bibliographical Society. They came together to forge first editions of a numnber of Victorian authors.
