Undated but circa 1920. 632pp, with sepia toned plate illustrations by Paul Hardy. In soft leatherette boards with gilt lettering on spine, in matching slipcase. Top edge gilt, satin ribbon marker bound in, coloured endpapers, 12mo. Volume a little sunned and rubbed on spine, very slightly spotted on text block edges. Ribbon marker is worn and brittle at exposed end. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. The slipcase is rubbed on edges heavily so on cracked corners, with some minor scuffs and mild marks. A lovely vintage volume with an evocative patina of use. An appreciative history and description of the Tower of London.
