First edition, first impression [1948]. 256pp. Faded red cloth boards (rubbed at edges, rounded at points). Lending sheet on front free endpaper, no other library markings. Old but effective tape repair to gutter of title page. Pages well-thumbed, minor spotting. In its original dust jacket (rubbed at edges, more heavily at points, flat creases along length of spine, a few edge nicks, visible shelf wear on verso. Very hard to find title from this once very popular thriller writer. First novel in Graham's Mr Sandyman series, it is the story of Bill Teeling who made �1 million and died because he fought the cat people - criminals extraordinaire. Neil Graham was one of the pen names of W Murdoch Duncan, who also wrote as John Cassells, John Dallas, Martin Locke, Peter Malloch and Lovat Marshall.
