1st edition, 1st printing (true first). 366pp, with full page coloured map and fold out coloured map of Beleriand tipped in at rear. In blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Cloth very slightly rounded at spine ends. Small mark on front free endpaper. Creamy. In its original dust jacket, very slightly bumped along lower edge and spine tips, spine sunned with a couple of small patches of delamination. A very nice, presentable, true first of Tolkien's classic Silmarillion. Dust jacket now protected in an archival-quality Mylar wrapper fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
