[1878]. [2], xix, 300pp, wood engraved frontispiece, extra illustrated title page, three further wood engraved plates (signed Dalziel). In red cloth decorated boards, gilt titles front and spine. Tall 12mo. Cloth is a little worn and dull, gently rubbed at edges, rounded on corners and spine ends. Spine sunned. Text block edges a little toned, stretching to page margins. Spotting on endpapers. Bookplate on front paste down indicating the volume once belonged to J W Rawden, dated 1909. Rawden's name is also stamped on the front free endpaper. Front hinge cracked. Otherwise internally neat and clean. A unusual take on the history o the seven wonders of the world.
