The Royal Naval College (Eaton, Chester and Dartmouth): The List of Officers, Masters and Cadets at the College (January 1945 - September 1948)
Issued between 1945 and 1946. Twelve consecutive issues of the Official List of the Royal Navy College, issued termly, from January 1945 to September 1948. The Royal Naval College, at Dartmouth, was heavily bombed during the Second World War, forcing its temporary relocation to Eaton Hall, Cheshire. The first four issues here are from Eaton Hall and the rest from Dartmouth, the College having moved back to Dartmouth when the war ended. Twelve issues bound in one volume. Half bound in red leather over red cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine, speckled text block edges, marbled endpapers. Large and chunky 16mo. Leather rubbed at edges, more markedly around spine, with minor loss at spine head. Hinges neatly repaired with bookbinders tape. Dartmouth Naval College stamp on flyleaf. Lists of Masters, Officers and Cadets, with Admiralty Numbers, date of birth and tutors etc, term dates and so on. These lists were issued termly, three per year. Fascinating details of Naval staff during the Second World War.
