Decorated red cloth boards. Bevelled edges. Some marks and scuffs on cover, endpapers tanned but otherwise firm and fresh and bright inside. Nice copy. Bullock's 'Queen's Resolve' was published in numerous different editions throughout the latter half of the 19th century, always updated to include key moments and events of Bullock's beloved Queen, Queen Victoria, as she reigned. This edition, published sometime after 1901, uniquely includes a note on the passing of the Queen in 1901 and a tributary poem by the Rev Prof H C C Moule, to mark the death of the monarch. It also includes an 'In Memoriam' essay, included in some earlier editions, following the death of the Queen's consort, "The Good Prince Albert" in 1861. Illustrated with numerous line drawings, etching, engravings and decorations. Handsome and interesting volume, revealing much of how Victoria was viewed by her subjects at the time of her reign. 0
