Sun-faded spine; rubbed corners and spine ends; cloth torn. Boards rubbed and stained. Top text block edge dusty, remaining edges starting to tan and fox. Endpapers starting to fox and tan. Hinges cracked and stretched, volume loose. Two previous owner's name on half-title page. Internally neat, clean and bright. The author was curate of St. Mary's, Soho.
