Full calf leather binding with spine label and gilt decorations to spine. viii, 436pp. Boards rubbed at edges, with a few scuffs, rubbed at ends of sunned spine, spine label partially flaked away, strong and solid binding. Internally a little spotting and rusting, bookseller ticket on front endpaper (Hodgetts, Birmingham). Previous owner's inscription on half title page (Thomas Etherington's Book, October 24th, 1818). A lovely volume, evocative of a different time, and begging to be reunited with a volume I.
