Undated but likely 1940. Circa 150pp, with 48 full colour plate illustrations, all by Arthur A Dixon. In red cloth-covered boards with extensive blind stamped decorations. Small 4to. Boards rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, very lightly frayed at head of spine, and a little faded. Text block edges dust darkened and very lightly spotted. Hint of tanning to endpapers, front free endpaper has an inked gift inscription dated 1940. Faint and occasional spotting on first and last few leaves only. A handsome, evocative vintage volume of Bible stories retold for children.
