Complete in two volumes.  First edition thus, first printings.  242pp; 218pp, tissue-guarded portrait plate frontispiece in volume one.  Both volumes uniformly bound in publisher's blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine.  Top edges gilt.  8vo.  Cloth gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, slightly sunned over spine and just a little shelf worn.  Some mild yellowing to fore edge and lower text block edge.  Internally a little toning to endpapers and to the tissue-guard in volume one else generally neat, clean, bright and tight.

An unusual set containing the majority of the poetical works of British novelist Gilbert Frankau, including his war poetry written within the frame of his experiences as a soldier on the Western Front during the first world war, written prior to publication.  Although a popular novelist during his life time, it is on his poetical output that his literary legacy has come to rest.
