Bound in strong buckram cloth, blind embossed decorations and gilt vignette of the pilgrim on the front board, gilt lettering to spine, bevelled boards, top edge gilt. Boards heavily rubbed all over and especially at corners and spine ends, cloth cracked around spine joints, chapped at spine ends, a few marks. Cracked gutters between endpapers; front endpapers have bookplate of one C W Pittard, and a few pencil notes regarding the volume, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight barring some minor spotting in places.
