This volume reproduces the text of three periodicals which together chart the life and career of Ferdinand Pelzer (1801-1864), the German musician who became one of the most important guitarists in London in the early half of the 19th century. Pelzer, hugely popular in his time, was also influential in the development of choral singing and the singing class movement.
