The Parisians (Volumes I and II) (Knebworth Edition)

1870s. Complete in two volumes, uniformly bound. These volumes are from the Knebworth edition of Lytton's works, produced in the 1870s. Half dark blue leather binding, over lighter blue pebbled cloth, with gold rules decoration, five raised bands, gilt lettering and decoration on spine, all edges marbled, marbled endpapers, illustrated frontispiece. Boards a little rubbed at edges, especially on corners and head of spine, with a little mottling in cloth on leading edges of both volumes.. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight barring starting cracks in endpaper gutters. Nice volumes, appealing to read and hold.
