(Edmund George Bourke (1843-1924) was naval officer who captained HMS Gannet, HMS Hyacinth and HMS Ringarooma, later taking an appointment at the Royal Naval College in Greenwich). Stamp, dated 1966, on the front free endpaper, indicating the volume was once in the collection of the Royal Marines historian; and an inked inscription.
