A later, 1954, printing of the Uniform Edition, first issued in 1925. 314pp. Red cloth-covered boards (strong, clean, square, lightly rounded at corners and spine ends, spine a little sunned). Internally neat, clean, and bright, hint of faint spotting on endpapers only. Previous owner's name on front free endpaper. Top edge of text block a little dusty. In its original, unclipped, dust jacket (rubbed at edges, chipped on upper edge, nicks at spine ends, with minor loss at spine base). Jacket fitted with archival-quality mylar wrapper to protect & prolong its life. It is not adhered to the book or to the jacket. Eleven of Holmes' famous cases narrated by Dr Watson, including Holmes' disappearance and presumed death at Reichenbach Falls at the hand of Professor Moriarty. Very nice vintage volume.
