Sun-faded spine, rubbed corners and spine ends with cloth wearing, some soiling and light wear to boads. Top text block edge tanned, remaining edges tanning; pages starting to age. Water stains to endpapers, two previous owner's names on front free endpaper. Hinges and gutters cracked and strained, volume loose.

An account of Edmund Candler's travels around India and its holy sites.  Candler (d. 1926) was writer and journalist notable for his deliberate emmulation of Rudyard Kipling.
