First edition.  xii, [2], 444, [2]pp,  In blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine.  8vo.  Cloth a little marked and faded, rubbed on joints, corners and rolled spine ends.  Upper text block edge dust darkened.  Mild toning on front free endpaper.  Armorial bookplate of Cosmo Gordon (Archiepiscopus Eboracensis) on front free paste down, likely Cosmo Gordon Lang (1864-1945) who was Archbishop of York and Archbishop of Canterbury from 1928 to 1942.  Cracked hinges front and rear else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.
