Uniformly bound in blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles and decoration on the spine. All edges deckled. Title page printed in red and black. 8vos. Boards worn, rubbed at edges and on joints, a little rounded at corners and spine tips. Armorial bookplate on Oliver Philip Behrens on the front paste down of both volumes - damaged - in volume II (likely Oliver Philip Behrens (1863-1953), an Oxford educated Manchester merchant who retired to Tunbridge Wells in Kent, a collector of sporting prints and drawings). Behren's reading note on first leaf, dated 1907; gift inscription to Celia, Behren's first wife, inked on next leaf, dated 1903.
