360pp, extra engraved title page, tissue-guarded frontispiece.  In full calf leather binding with gilt decorations front and spine, gilt titles on black leather spine label.  32mo. Boards are worn and a little marked, with some minor chipped and scuffing on edges.  Text block edges dust darkened.  Internally some toning on extreme edges of pages else neat, clean, bright and tight.  Previous owner's inscription inked on title page.  A lovely little volume with the patina of use.

Contains the posthumous works of the poet Henry Kirke White, compiled and edited by poet and critic Robert Southey.  White was obscure in his own time but Southey's collection did much to establish his reputation as a skilled poet after his death.
