Buckram cloth boards, embossed, with gilt decoration and lettering (cloth a little worn all over, mild mottling and rubbed at corners and spine tips). Gutter strained between endpaper, contemporary inscription on front endpaper, dated 1863, pages toning at margins, library stamp on reverse of title page - no other library markings, occasional small mild marks on pages, a tad offset). A lovely, early edition with good illustrations of this classic story of isolation and survival.
