First, likely only, edition. 28pp with colour plate frontispiece and two further colour plate illustrations. In red cloth boards with gilt titles (boards rubbed and rounded on corners and spine ends, lightly faded, small area of marks and mottling over lower front corner). A little spotting on endpapers only; gutter strained between frontispiece and title page and rear endpapers). A legend retold in verse, of Cora Lynn, reputedly the fourth and fairest daughter of the 10th century Scottish King, Malcolm II. Most historical sources claim two or three daughters for Malcolm (two of whom gave birth, respectively, to Duncan and Macbeth). This epic verse relates the story of a fourth and perhaps fictional daughter, Cora Lynn. A very hard to find title. Illustrated by Lady Katherine Lloyd on Bronwydd; Lady Lloyd's son was killed in action at the Battle of Somme in 1916, which adds to the poignancy of this little volume being sold to raise funds for the Soldiers' and Sailors' Association. Uncommon. Almost very good condition.
