Extensive history of the church and its parish, including sections on, for instance, the church books, and the genealogy of local families. Fold out genealogy of the Reynier (or Rainier) family. Later genealogy table for Garnett of Ask and Ashford pasted in by later reader. Similar tables for other branches of the Garnett family laid in. Promotional leaflet for the book from the publisher pasted in at rear, and a list of illustrations laid in. Boards rubbed at edges, especially on corners and leather cracked around spine. Rebacked endpapers. Internally clean and neat, barring the odd mark and spotting. Handsome volume, considered important in terms of local history.
