Tissue guarded frontispiece, additional illustrated title page. Numerous, gloriously fresh and bright hand coloured illustrations of British Butterflies, showing also their caterpillars and the plants on which they feed. 64pp of accompanying text, plus a supplement on the best methods of preserving butterflies and moths. The gutta-percha (adhesive) used to bind the pages has deteriorated, as is common with this title, leaving a few pages loosen or detached, else internally remarkably fresh, clean and tidy. A large and heavy volume which may require an additional charge for overseas shipping.
