Complete in three volumes. vi, [2], 218pp; [ii], 238pp; [iv], 208pp. All three volumes have numerous black and white and photographic illustrations, volumes two and three also have colour plate illustrations. All three volumes uniformly bound in green cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine. Small 4tos. Cloth is a little worn, gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends. Volumes I and III have some mottling around the leading edge and lower leading corners. All three internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Dust wrappers are worn, a little rubbed, cracked or chapped on edges, chipped and scarred on sunned spines, with interior repairs.
A very nice vintage set forming a comprehensive and detailed approach to gardening and horticulture in the style of the early 20th century.
