Neat and clean internally barring a little light spotting. In its original, vintage dust jacket (worn, edge-chapped a little, rubbed at folds and joints, faded). Dust jacket now in archival-quality mylar wrapper to protect & prolong the life of the jacket. It is not adhered to the book or to the jacket. A story of the British in India under the latter days of the Raj. The author's comment included as an appendix reflects the sentiments of many retired lovers of India in 1947.
