Bound in full brown calf's leather with gilt decorations, black spine label with gilt titles, five raised bands. All edges marbled and marbled endpapers. 12mo. Boards very slightly rubbed at corners, moderately rubbed at spine tips, small chip on rear panel, a little patina. Presentation inscription on first true leaf, dated 1889; a hint of spotting on prelims, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. An attractive, evocative volume.
