Small booklet containing an essay by Dr Sheridan Muspratt on his discovery of a chloride of iron in one of Harrogate's Chalybeates and the benefit of taking the waters there - 'a great boon to suffering humanity'. Dr Muspratt's discovery in 1865 helped turn Harrogate into the one of England's premier spas.
