Ex college library with usual markings on front endpapers and small stamp on title page else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. This volume of Burke's correspondence covers a period of some twenty months and 218 letters, of which 114 are published here for the first time. Although Burke was already in retirement, aging and in poor health, many of the letters are powerful and long, expounding freely on themes which profoundly interested the politician.
