Carefully revised, continued and enlarged by John Entick, a New Edition with Alterations and Additions, By a Committee appointed by the Grand Lodge. vi, 368, lxxv, [5]. In a later, 19th binding, bound together with later, 1776, appendices. Handsome volume, bound in full morocco leather with gilt decorations and motifs to front and verso, five raised bands to spine, gilt lettering and decorations on spine. All edges gilt. Gilded inner dentelles, marbled endpapers. Engraved frontispiece with tissue guard, title page printed in black and red. Boards lightly rubbed at edges and spine joints, scuffed around head of spine. Front free endpaper is partially detached. Some mild spotting, with occasional pages showing some soiling, tissue-guard is fragile, else internally neat, clean, tight and bright. An important and early edition of one of the founding texts of freemasonry. Anderson's first edition of the collected constitutions and regulations was published in 1723 and went through several editions. This edition was updated and revised by John Entick. Small 4to.
