This is an unusual item but perhaps an important part of penal and culinary history. A hardback book, in cloth covered boards, with a dust jacket. The dust jacket gives the title 'The Clink' and Christopher Moore as the author (Moore is the CEO of the charity, The Clink, which creates fine dining restaurants in prisons and uses them to training prisoners as high-end chefs and waiters). But when you open the covers, it's not really a book at all : the pages have been cut away, with a knife and fork buried inside. We contacted Mr Moore when we found this oddity, and he told us that it was used as an invitation to the launch of the Clink Events Training Kitchen in 2018 and that it was designed and produced by the McCann agency. The 12 or so pages with graduate stories are repeated many times throughout the book. A novel item. The dust jacket has a little shelf wear, else in fine condition throughout.
