First edition. 188pp plus some black and white plate illustrations. In grey cloth boards with deep blue titles on spine. Top edge sprayed blue. 8vo. Gently rounded at spine tips; text block edges a tad dust-darkened. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket, a little faded and bumped and rubbed at edges; some shelf wear visible on verso. Terrence Rattigan's famous play, The Winslow Boy, was based on a real case, that of George Archer-Shee, a 13 year old cadet at Osborne Naval College.
