254pp. Blue cloth boards (showing a couple of small indentations) with gilt titles to spine. Small paper fray on front free endpaper and mild occasional spotting on text block edge, else internally neat, clean and tight. In its original, first state, dust jacket (a little chapped at edges with minor loss at spine ends). Jacket fitted with archival-quality mylar wrapper to protect & prolong its life. It is not adhered to the book or to the jacket. The first edition was issued with a second state dust jacket later in the same year; this first state dust jacket was the one picked up later for a Book Club edition.
