[1959]. First edition, first impression. 46pp. In blue cloth-covered boards with silver titles. 12mo. Cloth very gently rubbed & rounded at corners and spine tips. Ex lending library with usual markings, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket, a little faded in margins, bumped on extreme edges, a little worn and small shelf number at spine base. Natalie Gordon Johnson's vibrant and colourful poetry often draws its mood from an historic incident when her forefather, Captain Lewis J Wilson was shipwrecked off the coast of South Africa. Deciding he liked the place so much, he settled in Durban, becoming a pioneer settler.
