These two volumes are part of the publisher's "half-crown edition" of William Black's in which 25 volumes were issued in monthly intervals between 1892 and 1894. Shandon Bells: Dated 1893, 428pp plus 4pp publisher's adverts at rear. Some fading to spine and rear board in patches, very gently rubbed at head and heel of spine, light spotting to text block edges and prelim pages. Previous owner's inscription, dated 1907, on front free end paper. Internally crisp, clean and bright with tight binding. Penance of John Logan: Very slightly rubbed & rounded at head and heel of spine. Very mild spotting to text block edges and prelim pages, otherwise internally bright, crisp and clean. Tight binding.
