Bullock's Museum was originally founded in Liverpool in 1795 but later moved to London, with at the heart of its collection the items William Bullock - jeweller, goldsmith, naturalist and antiquarian - had gathered during his travellers. Located in the Egyptian Hall, Piccadilly, - a building which Bullock commissioned in 1812 - over time the Museum exhibited a range of collections and became one of London's premier exhibition spaces. Bullock's collection included works of art, nartural history objects, armour and a range of curiosities from Captain Cook's south sea voyages.
