128pp plus 48pp monochrome photographic illustrations. Quarter bound in red cloth over grey textured fabric boards with gilt lettering on spine (boards strong, square and clean; very lightly rounded at spine ends). Previous owner's name and address on lightly spotted endpapers, else internally neat, clean and bright. Firmly bound, one gutter strain. In its original dust jacket (bumped at edges, beginning to delaminate, especially at base on rear). A solid overview of the life and artistic career of the 20th century's foremost male ballet dancer, including this defection from the Soviet Union to the west, but the real glory of this volume is the collection of photographic illustrations depicting Nureyev at work and dancing with the likes of Yvette Chauvire, Margot Fonteyn and Alla Sizova.
