Undated but likely circa 1910. Unpaginated but circa 30pp, with colour portrait frontispiece. In red cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on front. All edges gilt. Colour illustrated endpapers. 48mo (miniature book). Cloth just a little rubbed and rounded on corners and spine tips. Some mild soiling on frontispiece verso else neat, clean, bright and tight. A lovely miniature book. A short story by the Scottish writer, Dr John Brown. Popular in the 19th century and widely held as his best work, Rab and his Friends, features a huge mastiff dog.
