A four volume set of Kipling's works. Uniformly bound in full publisher's limp red leather, with gilt motif on front panel and stunning, elaborate gilt decorations on spine. Top edge gilt. 12mos. Each volume retains its original glassine wrapper and is housed in a red card slipcase. Volumes are close to immaculate with gilding vibrant and shining. The glassine wrapper on Puck of Pook's Hill has a small nick at the base of the spine. Each has some black and white illustrations - those in Puck of Pook's Hill by H R Miller, in the Jungle Book by J Lockwood Kipling and W H Drake, Rewards and Fairies by Charles E Brock and in The Just So Stories by Rudyard Kipling. The slipcases are clean and bright, with just the occasional small rub on edges; that on Rewards and Fairies has a short crack at base. They are all Pocket Edition reprints, dating from the mid 1950s to early 1960s.
