The frontispiece - a portrait of Austen - is from a painting by Lawrence Beall Smith, specially commissioned by The Easton Press for its 100 Greatest Books Ever Written series edition of Pride and Prejudice. 8vo. The is a short, faint shadow line on the fore edge, else without flaw throughout. A very handsome, finely bound volume. With a publisher's preface and introductory essay by Frank Swinnerton.
