Three matching volumes, all 1930s reprints. viii, 788pp; vi, 596pp, iv, 874pp. Blue cloth boards (with a little wear at edges, rounded at spine tips), with blind embossed motif on front boards and gilt titles to spine. Internally all three volumes are neat, clean, bright and tight, barring some occasional spotting and one volume has a single gutter crack on title page spread. A very nice set, but heavy so will likely incur an additional charge for delivery beyond the UK. Francis Brett Young was an English novelist whose works display a strong sense of time and place. His Mercian novels in particular, set in a loosely fictionalised West Midlands.
