Pictues and Sketches (Association copy)
Unpaginated; photographs and drawings throughout. Brown card covers with black titles; stapled. Rubbed all round. Slight foxing to prelim pages. With a presentation inscription on the first page from Elsie Hall. Oblong 12mo. Jessie Hall's pictures - often of rural scenes such as cart horses, ploughing, harrowing or returning home in twilight, and largely set in the South Downs, were exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Walker Art Gallery, and her designs for Christmas and greeting cards went all over the world. Hall (1858-1914) died at the height of her artistic powers but her pictures of farm horses and sheep are remembered even now.
