126pp. In green cloth boards with faded red lettering to spine (boards are a little rubbed and faded at edges). Internally neat, clean, bright and tight barring some mild discolouration on the endpapers. A political play which plays upon the themes of capitalism, private property and freedom of speech, and now a very hard to find title. Published with the author as The Hon. Member for X, the author was in fact the UK Conservative politician, Somerset Struban de Chair, first elected to Parliament in 1934. His political career ended in 1950 after a series of personal scandals. At the start of his long writing career he published two tracts, The Impending Storm (1930) which predicted World War Two; and Divided Europe, which foresaw the Communist takeover of Eastern Europe. Peter Public places some of these themes into a near future setting.
